WHO ARE WE:
The Calgary Rainforest Action Group (CRAG) is a group of Southern Alberta citizens concerned about global deforestation. Specifically, we are concerned about the alarming rate of destruction of the world's rainforests and boreal forests. Our not-for-profit, grass-roots group has been in existence since 1988.
WHAT ARE OUR OBJECTIVES:
Our main objective is education. Through monthly meetings, public lectures, films and presentations to school children, we attempt to raise the public's awareness of forests destruction around the world and what can be done to stop it. We advocate a co-operative approach: individuals, activist groups, government and industry working together to find win-win solutions to our current environmental crisis.
