Hand Hills Trail Ride
Saddle
Up Pardner!
Yeehaw – perfect weather and great people made the 9th Annual Hand Hills Trail Ride a roaring success. The community of Hand Hills sure knows hospitality. They served up a super breakfast with pancakes and all the fixin’s donated by Smitty’s Restaurant, Drumheller and a delicious supper to some very hungry riders with steaks provided by Sunterra. Many items were donated for the silent auction table and some gourmet cooks created some tasty treats for a bake table. About 94 horse riders and quite a few wagon riders joined together to raise $15,240.00 on that sunshiny Sunday afternoon. The following wishes will come true because of this annual event:
© Wish #599 An eight year old boy with Cerebral Palsy would like to go to Disneyworld with his mom, dad and sister
© Wish #611 Four year old girl diagnosed with Leukodystrophy, a genetic disorder which affects the brain, spinal cord and peripheral nerves, wishes to visit her grandpa in Kingston, Ontario

This year’s ride will take place on Sunday, October 8, 2006.
